OUR STORY

Second Chance farms began with a few baby lambs who were given little hope for survival. Since then, our farm has grown, with more calls coming in asking if we rescue other animals in need. Officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) in August 2023, we are able to expand our efforts, ensuring that more animals receive a second chance in life.

 

Our mission is simple but powerful:

To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals from uncertain situations. We strive to foster a community where human-animal bonds are celebrated and strengthened through education, advocacy, and accessible care. At Second Chance Farms, we believe that a second chance is always better than no chance.

In addition to our rescue efforts, we proudly offer therapeutic programs that support both animals and people. Our Farm Strong, Fight Strong program focuses on using farm animals to promote physical and mental well-being. Helping individuals cope with and heal from trauma, building resilience through interactions with our rescues. Our Read with a Sheep invites children to improve their confidence in reading by reading aloud to our friendly sheep, creating a calm and supportive environment for learning.
